Quick presentation

My name is Jae Salokettu, I'm a woman living in Vantaa, Finland, and I've been operating under the callsign OH2DND since February 2025.

I frequent Kauniaisten Radiokerho (OH2K) fairly regularly and am also involved as a net controller for the WorldWide Check-In, usually in the first part.

I am mainly present on DMR, both locally and trunked, as this mode is very popular in Finland.

I also sometimes attend N1ARA meetups when I happen to be around at the right time.

HF operations

HF operations are suspended until further notice due to lack of hardware and proper antenna setup.

VHF+ operations

I am most active in the 70cm band (432-438MHz) in either DMR or FM.

You can find me on local repeaters or BrandMeister talkgroups 91, 92 or 244.

My DMR radio ID is 2441722.

Monitoring operations

While having a license now, I still listen daily to various bands, mainly HF, but sometimes UHF+; through the use of software-defined radios.

I sometimes do recordings of what I find interesting and like receiving signals of weatherfaxes.

Current activities

HF monitoring

Monitoring of the HF band, including reception of:

DDH3 / DDK6 Hamburg-Pinneberg weatherfax service on 7880kHz.
Foreign long-distance shortwave radio stations such as Pop Shop Radio on 6070kHz.
Various OTH radars.
Local and international amateur traffic.

Satellite station study

A satellite reception station is currently being studied. A section will be added to this website once it has matured.
